Debra was given a riding lesson as a surprise when she was 5 years old and hasn't stopped since!
Debra has enjoyed almost every discipline of riding. It is the love of the wonderful horse that keeps her going. After completing a degree in Equine Science at Mount Ida College in Massachusetts, U.S.A., Debra looked at alternative therapies such as massage to assist with her competition horses back home in Canada. The field so intrigued her, and she was so excited by the results, that she went on to become a fully certified Equine Sports Massage Therapist through Equissage in Virginia, in the U.S.A. She also qualified as a riding instructor by achieving the Canadian National Coaching Certificate Level 3 (High Performance) in English dressage.
Debra moved to England to be closer to family and now practices mainly in the North West of England however does travel on special request to anywhere within the United Kingdom.
Her love of horses was passed on to her two daughters who are rarely not on the back of a horse whenever possible!
